Spider Removal Methods for the Home
Besides calling a professional for spider removal, there are some things you can do to make it easier to control spiders.
Vacuuming regularly, especially shelter spots such as beneath worktops and under large furniture, is important to remove any webs, eggs, and spiders from the home. A spider that is sucked up by a vacuum can’t handle the trauma. Be sure to remove any noticeable webs on a regular basis.
Remove shelter sites from your property. This can include firewood piles, garden bags, general clutter, and compost piles. Don’t place any boxes by the walls or on the floor and use tape to close up box openings.
Spiders don’t like human food but they feast on other insects, so deterring all insects can make it less attractive for spiders. Ventilate any crawlspaces, in order to decrease moisture levels. Examine objects that have been outside because spiders can travel into the home on these objects.
